Repair terms
North Texas Fix · Saginaw, TX
Warranty
Every repair is covered for 30 days on the parts we installed and the labor we performed, from the day you get the device back. If the same problem comes back, bring the device in and we will make it right at no charge.
The warranty does not cover new physical damage, new liquid damage, a cracked screen after the repair, software problems, or a device that has been opened by someone else after we worked on it.
Before we start
Diagnosis is free and we will tell you the price before we begin. We never start a repair without your OK. If we open the device and find a second problem, we stop, contact you, and wait for your approval before going any further.
Water damage is the one exception: the diagnostic fee covers the teardown, ultrasonic cleaning and board inspection, and it is charged whether or not you go ahead with the repair. If you do go ahead, it comes off the repair price.
Back up your data
Back up your device before you hand it over. Repairs sometimes require a factory reset, and some failures make data unrecoverable no matter what we do. We are not responsible for lost photos, contacts, messages, apps or any other data.
Your passcode
We usually need to unlock the device to test that the repair actually worked. You can give us the passcode or you can be present while we test it. We use the passcode only to test the repair, and we delete it from our records when the repair is closed.
Parts
We source the best parts we can get for the device in front of us. Some parts are original manufacturer, some are high-quality aftermarket, depending on the device and what is available. Ask us and we will tell you exactly what is going into your device.
On some newer models the manufacturer's software will show a parts or service notice after any repair that is not done by the manufacturer. That is a software message from the manufacturer, not a defect in the repair.
Pickup, delivery and at-home service
For pickup and delivery, we photograph the device with you present at pickup and again at drop-off, and both of you sign off on its condition. The service fee covers both directions within our service area.
At-home repairs are done in your home or at your car, which is not a controlled workspace. We will tell you honestly if a repair should not be done on site, and some repairs are workbench-only for that reason.
Someone 18 or older must be present to hand over and receive the device.
Payment
Payment is due when the repair is finished and the device is returned to you. We do not require prepayment for standard repairs. For special-order parts we may ask for a deposit that covers the part.
Devices left with us
If your device is finished and we cannot reach you, we will keep trying by phone and text. Devices left with us for more than 60 days after we notify you that the repair is complete may be treated as abandoned and disposed of to cover the cost of the repair and storage. We do not want to do this - please just answer the phone.
Limits
Our maximum liability for any repair is the fair market value of the device at the time you brought it in, or the amount you paid us for the repair, whichever is less. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost business, lost income or lost data.
